Choosing between iPhone 17 and Google Pixel 10? Compare camera quality, battery, AI features, software, display and overall value.
Our quick answerChoose iPhone 17 for video and dependable performance. Choose Pixel 10 for zoom and Google’s smarter software.
Neither wins everything. The important split is the iPhone’s stronger all-round consistency versus the Pixel’s true 5x telephoto camera and more useful AI-led tools.

Why there is no single “camera winner”: Pixel 10 has the more flexible zoom range, while iPhone 17 is the safer recommendation for video. A megapixel count or battery capacity alone does not decide real-world quality.
What independent testing adds
iPhone 17: consistent and fast
TechRadar’s week of testing found that the A19 stayed responsive across heavy everyday multitasking and that the phone consistently lasted from morning to evening. Its reviewer also highlighted realistic-looking photos, improved group selfies and useful Dual Capture video.
Best evidence for: sustained everyday speed, dependable battery and video flexibility.
Important limitation: no dedicated telephoto camera, so it cannot match Pixel 10 for true long-range zoom.
TechRadar found the Pixel interface and AI features quick in normal use, but reported slowdowns in demanding games at maximum settings. Its battery completed a normal day, although the lab result was described as average rather than exceptional.
Best evidence for: bright display, useful Google software and a genuinely helpful 5x zoom option.
Important limitation: heavy gaming and battery endurance are not class-leading despite the larger battery figure.

Our verdict
For most existing Apple users, the iPhone 17 is the safer purchase: it combines a smooth 120Hz display with excellent video, stronger high-load performance and dependable all-day use.
The Google Pixel 10 is the more interesting switch if you value a true 5x zoom camera, Google’s call tools and useful AI features. Do not choose it just because its battery has a larger mAh number—independent testing shows capacity does not automatically translate into longer endurance.
